Fifteen years of championing contemporary art in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.
Our story
Meridian Art Gallery opened in 2009 with twelve works on bare white walls and a simple conviction: the Sonoran Desert deserves a gallery that takes contemporary art as seriously as any institution in New York or Los Angeles.
Fifteen years and more than 900 placed works later, we represent 60 artists, mount 12 exhibitions per year, and welcome tens of thousands of visitors through our doors -- all without ever charging admission. Our permanent collection has grown to over 400 pieces, and our workshops have introduced hundreds of residents to the practice of making art themselves.
What we stand for
Every work in our exhibitions and collection is selected on artistic merit -- no pay-to-play, no shortcuts.
Free admission, bilingual programming, and ADA-accessible spaces mean the gallery truly belongs to the whole community.
We pay fair commissions, provide studio support, and advocate for our represented creators at every stage of their careers.
Scottsdale has one of the richest art ecosystems in the country. We are proud to help define and celebrate it.
Location
We are steps from the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the Old Town galleries -- the perfect anchor for a full afternoon of art.
