Three decades of parks, programs, and community connection in the heart of Sunridge, AZ.
Our story
Sunridge Parks & Recreation was established in 1994 with a small team, a handful of parks, and a simple mission: give Sunridge residents great places to gather, play, and grow. Today we oversee 42 parks, 60 miles of trails, 4 public pools, 8 recreation centers, and hundreds of programs each year.
We are a City of Sunridge department funded by and accountable to the residents we serve. Our staff includes recreation specialists, certified fitness instructors, lifeguards, parks maintenance professionals, and community program coordinators who are passionate about what they do.
What we stand for
Our parks, trails, and facilities belong to all Sunridge residents. We design every program and space to be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible.
We listen to residents, respond to neighborhood needs, and partner with schools, nonprofits, and local groups to build stronger communities.
Every program we offer is grounded in the belief that physical activity, time outdoors, and social connection are essential to quality of life.
We maintain our parks and facilities with care, manage public funds responsibly, and report on outcomes so residents know their investment is working.
Where we operate
Our parks, trails, and recreation centers are spread across all ten Sunridge districts so every resident has convenient access to the programs and spaces they love.
