Over 150 years of professional law enforcement across Pinal County, Arizona.
Our story
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office was established in 1875 when Pinal County was organized as an Arizona Territory county. What began with a single elected sheriff and a handful of deputies has grown into a full-service public safety agency with over 310 sworn deputies and hundreds of civilian staff serving more than 400,000 residents across 5,374 square miles.
Today PCSO operates patrol divisions, a civil process unit, the Pinal County Adult Detention Center, community outreach programs, and specialized investigative units -- all under the direct accountability of an elected sheriff answerable to Pinal County voters.
What we stand for
Our deputies represent Pinal County with pride. Every interaction -- from traffic stops to civil process -- is conducted with professionalism and respect.
The Sheriff serves the whole county, from dense subdivisions to remote ranches. We stay engaged, visible, and accessible across every community we protect.
PCSO deputies complete rigorous training and maintain ongoing professional development in patrol tactics, civil process, detention, and crisis response.
We publish crime data, use-of-force reports, and department statistics so Pinal County residents can hold us to our mission every day.
Communities served
Our deputies are deployed across the county with area assignments so residents have consistent, familiar law enforcement presence in their communities.
