A Phoenix kitchen built on real relationships with real farms.
Our story
The Copper Skillet started in 2011 as a weekend farmers market booth run by chef Marisela Reyes and her husband Carlos. The concept was simple: take whatever the nearby farms had that week and make something worth lining up for.
By 2014 we'd outgrown the booth and opened our Midtown Phoenix dining room. Thirteen years later the ethos hasn't budged -- we still drive out to our farm partners, still write the menu by hand on Thursdays, and still believe the best meal is the one you remember a year later.
What we stand for
We source 85% of our ingredients from farms and ranches within 150 miles of Phoenix. When the season changes, so does the menu.
Every dish is developed in-house by our culinary team -- no corporate recipes, no shortcuts. Just real cooking with intention.
We hire locally, partner locally and give back locally. A portion of every catering event supports Phoenix hunger-relief nonprofits.
Great food shouldn't feel intimidating. We welcome families, date nights, solo diners and everything in between -- come as you are.
